San Franciscos AT&T Park was host to round four of the AMA Supercross Championship, and once again the weather was a major concern. With heavy rain the week before the event everyone feared a muddy track, but just as they did last Saturday, Feld Entertainment pulled off another miracle. 41,872 enthusiastic fans came out to cheer on the action. Both Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team riders qualified for the main event directly out of their heat race. In the main event, Byrne and Brayton rounded the first turn toward the back of the pack, but immediately started charging. After the first lap Brayton had moved into 10th with Byrne just behind in 15th. By the halfway mark they were in eighth and 11th, respectively, and at the checkers Brayton was sixth and Byrne 10th. Luke Duke Emmons gives you the inside scoop from the Stunt Wars US Open in Orlando, Florida. By Luke Emmons Saturday January 17th, leaving snow to get to 70s and sunny. Destination Orlando, Florida, the current home of the Stunt Wars 2010 US Open. Stunt Wars is one of my personal favorite competitions. Much of my family lives close to the venue so I am able to catch up and practice all week at my top secret stunt spot. Snow has been falling in Connecticut since Thanks Giving making it hard to practice. But cobwebs are quickly dusted off with 6 hour practice sessions! One good thing about living in a snowy climate is that you can wrench on your bike when youre staring out the window like a twelve year old wishing you could ride. Dave Bolognese, my ace mechanic, |

After a week of torrential rain prior to the second 2010 Anaheim event, the Feld Entertainment crew pulled off a miracle in delivering an outstanding track for racing. Anticipating the deluge, the promoters constructed the track earlier than usual, and covered the track. They also stock piled a stash of nearby dirt. When the skies cleared Saturday morning, the crew, who had been pumping off water the entire week, pulled off the covers, used equipment to scrape away and remove mud, and brought in the stored dry dirt. The result was near perfect conditions for the second of three visits to Angel Stadium during the series. Both Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team riders, Justin Brayton and the recently signed Michael Byrne easily qualified for the main event, although Brayton overca |

The Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX Team kicked off the 2010 AMA Supercross Championship Series at Angel Stadium in Anaheim, Calif. As reported earlier, Josh Grant, the winner of the event last year was injured while practicing last Tuesday, and his status going into the event was uncertain. Josh was still very sore during the first practice, but was able to ride well enough to qualify for the night program. He elected to sit out the second practice to rest and prepare for the race. Grant rode through the pain and transferred to the main event directly out of his heat race, but made the decision not to race the main and risk further injury. He will continue to work closely with his doctors and the JGRMX athletic trainer to be prepared for the next round of the series. Justin Bra |
